This is a gurgling sound i created by accident. It's a short clip from the "new dimensions in sound (1957)" public domain clip from the prelinger collection at archive. Org. Specifically, i used this line: "as the record plays, the needle wiggles. " cut out the first part, made a loop of "the needle wiggles. . . The needle wiggles," and lowered the pitch with reapitch by two octaves. This was the result.

My cat was really happy and purring. I had my recorder close by, so i recorded this sound. My cat kept breathing into the mic, so this clip is short. I apologize. My lights are actually connected into the wall with a switch that i can turn on/off with a seperate controller, and this switch makes this very peculiar sound when it switches on and off. I felt like it was a cool sound actually and would be great for other people to use as well in their projects!. Feel free to use whenever/however you want. This is the sound of the short part of guitar strings plucked over the headstock, between the nut and tuning pegs. This morning i woke up to the sound of a city crew jackhammering concrete just outside my window. I grabbed my h2 and recorded for a while. This file is an edit of the full recording. It contains two bursts of jackhammering, one fairly short and one longer. The background noise is the sound of the air compressor. Toward the end the compressor is turned off and the last of the pressure is released by the jackhammer as it sort of "putters out". This last bit is a bit unique.

Each segments has an ambience sound transformed with a musical instrument or two.

This sample was created by layering short, improvised passages on a yamaha psr-275 into a boss dd-20 in sound on sound mode. Loop was played into a boss me-30 on harmonizer and pitch shifter settings, processed in real time, then faded out. Audio was further processed in goldwave (compression, added hiss, vibrato, etc. ) to give it a more believeable "old vhs tape" sound. I cut it to only include the most convincing segment of audio. (it's not perfect, but it's only an emulation!) 24 kbps, stereo.

Sampling rate of 8 khz is already an overkill (nyquist frequency is at 4 khz, while all energy of this sound is present in narrow 2 khz frequency range). Recorded in my backyard with rode ntg-3 / dead wombat on zoom h6 recorder. Starts off with one decent short clap of thunder, but mostly rolling low rumble thunder and some rain here and there. Some of the rain drop sounds are sharp off of metal, some is just lightly hitting the ground. Some nearby trees blowing add to some of the ambiance.

One of a series of heavily processed recordings i made using a hikari monos cv. It's a small, highly tweakable synthesizer that's great for drones, resonant pings, and all manner of dynamic electronic sounds. ‘slayer’ refers to s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin made by twisted tools. By layering, blending, and mulching the original monos recordings, i was able to get a range of sounds the are dynamic, punchy, and unabashedly stereo. These might be useful for edgy-sounding ui elements.

Modern noise - a quiet kitchen at night in an urban surrounding, and the constant sound of a big samsung fridge. Very distant tv sounds and voices. Recorded with a blue yeti on the floor (omnidirectional mode i think), cut to make it loop cleanly and boosted up a bit with goldwave. I kept it short (less than 2 minutes) to make it easier to manipulate in my video editor timelines. Hope someone finds it useful.
